To our customers and friends,
We are not a global healthcare company. We are a family business.
Like you, we live in a neighborhood we care about, take our kids to games and performances, and enjoy getting together with friends. Also like you, we wonder about the best ways to react to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are concerned about the health of our family, but also recognize that many people in our community and our country are at higher risk and are experiencing more urgent need. If we could solve this problem with shaving cream, we would be ready and willing!
That said, while we practice social distancing and do our best to stay germ-free, we refuse to be emotionally distant, or sit on those freshly sanitized hands!
Here is what we are doing, so far:
- We are sheltering in place as instructed and doing everything we can to keep our family and our community safe. As a family, we have been volunteering at local San Francisco Food Banks. Those of us that are able have also donated blood plasma, platelets and whole blood. #ShavingIsNoWayToGiveBlood :)
- In March, we donated 100% of our profits from our website to CDCfoundation.org, an independent nonprofit and the sole entity created by Congress to mobilize philanthropic and private-sector resources to support the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s critical health protection work. These efforts helped contribute almost $6,000.
- In April, we were able to acquire and donate almost 10,000 surgical masks to hospitals, healthcare workers, and others in need, largely through the non-profit, mask-match.com.
- In May, we will be launching our #ZoomGroomChallenge, a fun and charitable social media campaign where Pacific Shaving Company will be donating money CDCfoundation.org. Be sure to follow us on Instagram @pacificshaving to learn more, once it launches.
